3rd November, Bristol, UK -- Next Generation CIO Europe, which took place from 24th - 26th May at the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, provided leading executives with an ideal framework for new business relationships to flourish.

The summit saw senior level executives from across Europe meet to discuss objectives such as disruptive technology, risk management, and innovation in a relaxed and vibrant environment. Speakers included leading industry professionals such as Bob Parker, Group VP, IDC; Sebastian Tischer, Microsoft; Jeremy Vincent, CIO, Jaguar Land Rover; and many more. Leading businesses across Europe including Symantec, SalesForce, and Microsoft sponsored the event.

CIOs had ample opportunity to network with peers. Patrick Mombaur, MD of E.ON IT said, "It's been a great event and I think it found the right balance between networking possibilities [in] the CIO community and very interesting talks with the vendors."

As well as comprehensive workshops, the summit involved panel discussions offering CIOs moderated, peer-led discussions on major industry issues. One-to-one meetings gave delegates the chance to meet with business analysts and analyst partners to discuss strategy and technology demands in a rapidly evolving business climate.

A total of 18 workshops covered a range of exciting and pressing topics for SMBS and global giants alike. Topics included visual collaboration strategy, leadership strategy, disruptive technology, virtualisation, data centre consolidation, and more.

Mark Baker, Director at GDS International, the global business event company behind NG CIO Europe, says, "We have always been proud of the quality of our summits, but this years' Next Generation CIO Europe Summit was one of our best yet. It is very rewarding to know that our events provide the environment for executives to meet and build valuable relationships that will lead to many exciting new ventures and innovations."
